Dear Friends and Partners,
As many of you may already know, AIR HAMBURG has been acquired by Vista Global Holding (Vista).
I have made the decision to partner with Thomas Flohr and his team as I see many similarities and synergies in the history of our two companies. We have both grown hugely in recent years, propelled by a shared goal of excellence in charter and commitment to nurturing a dedicated, motivated and excited team of experts.
Together we now have a global fleet of more than 240 aircraft, and I am excited about the opportunities this presents both my team at AIR HAMBURG and the wider market in terms of efficiencies and capacity for growth. Our strength has long been our flexibility and resilience in our depth of fleet, clearly this is something that grows further with our partnership, enabling us to provide our clients with unrivaled support.
Over the last 15 years, AIR HAMBURG has been able to grow and improve through the relationship and support of our colleagues throughout the wholesale private jet industry. I want to assure you that this is a commitment that remains vital to the future of AIR HAMBURG as part of the Vista Global group. It was important to both AIR HAMBURG and to Vista Global that we retain our strong identity as a wholesale-focused airline and in that sense, I want to confirm that AIR HAMBURG will continue to safeguard your bookings and clientele in the way you have become accustomed to.
I also want to confirm that I will be staying on as CEO of AIR HAMBURG and that our team here will continue to grow and be shaped by the company mentality that I have built up since 2006. In some ways, many things will remain as you know them now in terms of aircraft, crew and my teams in the headquarters in Hamburg.
In other ways, we are looking to improve and expand both our fleet and our capacity to smoothly operate flights. Our partnership with Vista and their highly experienced team will enable us to further expand the AIR HAMBURG fleet in new and exciting directions, and along with that upgrade and improve our systems in Hamburg. Through this, we believe we can provide an ever-improving and seamless experience to our clients.
Thomas and I value our people above all else, and we have both made a commitment to them throughout this process. We will continue to support and encourage our teams to succeed both in our individual companies, but also as part of a larger team, in collaboration with colleagues in London, Hamburg, Malta and the US. Day-to-day operations however will remain in our Hamburg home-base for my entire existing team.
We expect the process of this transaction to be completed within the first half of 2022 and as this happens the picture will become more clear as to how we will best be able to support one another and the global private jet market. I will ensure that you are kept updated throughout this process to the best of my ability. Our teams in the office both here and at Vistajet will also endeavor to address any questions you may have about the future of our companies and relationship.
In the meantime, we are, as always, thankful for your support and trust in us and we look forward to welcoming your clients on board our fleet with the comfort, safety and discretion that have become the hallmark of our operation.
Please don't hesitate to contact my team or I if you have further questions as to our new partnership.
Best regards,
Floris
